В Китае представлены обновлённые Nio ES6, EC6, ET5 и ET5 Touring для поддержания конкурентоспособности на рынке.

A refreshed wave of Nio electric vehicles, including the ES6, EC6, ET5, and ET5 Touring, has been officially launched in China. These updates, focused on exterior styling and equipment enhancements, are a strategic move to sharpen the brand’s competitive edge in an increasingly crowded market. The 2026 model year ET5 line now starts from 190,000 yuan (27,650 USD) when paired with Nio’s BaaS battery rental service.

This launch comes amid a significant milestone for the company: Nio reported its first-ever quarterly profit in the Chinese market. This financial turning point is largely credited to the strong reception of the third-generation ES8 crossover. Official registration data from China EV DataTracker reveals that Nio delivered 28,905 units of the new ES8 between January and February 2026. Remarkably, this single model constituted 80.4% of the brand’s total sales volume during that period. Such a heavy reliance on one model is a challenging indicator, suggesting that other vehicles in the Nio lineup, including the newly updated ES6, EC6, and ET5 series, are currently facing notably sluggish sales.

The latest registration figures paint a clear picture of this sales disparity. Deliveries for the updated ES6 crossover reached 2,160 units, while its coupe-SUV sibling, the EC6, managed only 806 registrations. The ET5 sedan’s sales were recorded at 929 units, with its more versatile wagon variant, the ET5 Touring, performing relatively better at 3,001 units. It is precisely to address these varying market performances that Nio has now introduced these updated variants, aiming to inject fresh appeal and boost demand.

More about the updated Nio ES6 and EC6

The ES6 and EC6 have undergone a parallel set of upgrades. The most visible change is the adoption of the new Moon 3.0 exterior package, which is now standard on the EC6 fastback crossover. This package is characterized by gray-painted badges and trim pieces. A new set of 20-inch alloy wheels completes the refreshed look. A practical touch is the addition of subtle blue illumination that activates when the vehicle’s NOA (Navigate On Autopilot) system is engaged. Both models also feature a slightly enlarged front bumper air intake. Crucially, the core dimensions for both vehicles remain unchanged:

  • Nio ES6: 4854/1995/1703 mm, 2915 mm wheelbase
  • Nio EC6: 4849/1995/1697 mm, 2915 mm wheelbase

The interior upgrade is equally notable. Both models now feature an enhanced driver’s seat with a zero-gravity function, which at the touch of a button adjusts to a position designed to minimize spinal pressure. Furthermore, ventilated and massaged rear seats are now standard equipment. As a final convenience touch, Nio has incorporated a dedicated storage compartment for eyeglasses beneath the center console.

Under the skin, both models come standard with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 360 kW (483 hp) and a 100 kWh battery pack. This powertrain combination delivers a CLTC-rated range of 630 to 655 km. Pricing for the Nio ES6 starts at 338,000 yuan (49,185 USD). Opting for the BaaS battery rental plan reduces the initial purchase price to 230,000 yuan (33,470 USD). The Nio EC6 has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of 358,000 yuan (52,000 USD), which can be lowered to 250,000 yuan (36,280 USD) with the same battery rental option.

More about the updated Nio ET5 and ET5 Touring

The Nio ET5 sedan and its versatile wagon counterpart, the ET5 Touring, have received a similar suite of upgrades. Exterior-wise, both are now distinguished by the Moon 3.0 package and the signature blue NOA indicator lights. The cabin experience is elevated with the Comfort Package now made standard. This includes a heated steering wheel and rear seats, ventilated front seats, and a built-in fragrance system. Additional premium touches comprise a headliner finished in suede and seats wrapped in luxurious Nappa leather.

Exterior dimensions are carried over from the previous model year. For the ET5 sedan, the measurements are 4790 mm in length, 1960 mm in width, and 1499 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,888 mm. The wagon-bodied ET5 Touring shares a very similar footprint. Both models are powered by the same dual-motor powertrain (360 kW) and a 100 kWh ternary lithium (NMC) battery, achieving a CLTC range of 710 to 740 km. The available trim levels and their corresponding pricing are structured as follows:

  • Nio ET5 – 298,000 yuan (43,360 USD) / 190,000 yuan (27,650 USD) with BaaS plan
  • Nio ET5 Ranqiyu – 310,000 yuan (45,110 USD) / 202,000 yuan (29,390 USD) with BaaS plan
  • Nio ET5 Touring – 298,000 yuan (43,360 USD) / 190,000 yuan (27,650 USD) with BaaS plan
  • Nio ET5 Touring Ranqiyu – 310,000 yuan (45,110 USD) / 202,000 yuan (29,390 USD) with BaaS plan
